Run YouTube in background on android and iOS

In this piece, we are going to show you how to run YouTube in background on Android and iOS. Ordinarily we play our YouTube videos on our YouTube app, but it doesn’t let us minimize the app and run it in the background.

Run YouTube in background on Android

Now we have a modded version of YouTube for you. Android app that will let you run YouTube videos in the background. In order to set up this app first you need to allow installation of apps from unknown sources on your android device.

Go to Settings>Security.

Turn on the unknown sources option.

Use the link given down below to download the modded YouTube Android app.

After downloading the app, install it on your device. That’s it! Now you will be able to play any video on YouTube and minimize it. You can now play any video in background from YouTube and still do other tasks.

Once the app is installed turn off the unknown source installation option in the settings to strengthen your phone’s security. We do not recommend keeping this option always allowed due to security reasons.

Minimize YouTube on iOS

As we all know that we can’t install any custom app on any Apple device without Jailbreaking. Jailbreaking is illegal and this practice is a bit risky and may brick your Apple device. You don’t have to worry we can still minimize YouTube on Apple devices. All you have to do is download the Google Chrome from the app store if it is not already installed.

Open Google chrome and click the three dot icon in the right upper corner and check the request desktop option.

After this YouTube will be running in desktop mode, Search for any video you want to play and minimize it. That’s it!
