4nm semiconductor process used to manufacture this chip. A78 CPU cores are high-performance cores, and Qualcomm has doubled the amount of them. Now you would be able to experience much higher peak CPU performance. 40% improvement confirmed by Qualcomm.

Power-efficiency have decreased from 6 to 4. But this will not effect the battery life on a large scale because the 4 cores will easily handle minute tasks and background with ease. 35% graphics performance is also available, but the details are few about that. The integrated modem has been upgraded from the X51 to X62.  X65 modem which is more expensive, had many features featured by X 62. To reduce the costs, it’s career-aggregation performance has also decreased.

One of the most important change is that the Spectra Image Processor (ISP) now supports 4K/30HDR video. This feature was not previously available in the market.

Snapdragon 4 Gen 1

The older version which is Snapdragon 480 has been succeeded by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 , and this will  bring  more modest performance improvements. CPU speed has been increased by +15% and graphics performance has been increased by +10%. By upgrading to an A78 core design, the speed of the CPU has probably boosted because the RAM bandwidth is identical.

6nm semiconductor process was used to manufacture the hardware platform from TSCM. This is significantly smaller than the previous 8nm Samsung Semiconductors process.By this cost-efficiency of the chips will be easier, and it will help Qualcomm in more pricing flexibility.

In the presence of Variable Rate Shading (VRS), it is a new architecture. The wireless specs haven’t changed a lot, Bluetooth is from 5.1 to 5.2 and is still a 5G chip.
